Points to check for the genuine MasterCard Travellers Cheques

1. You can feel the sharply defined image and raised texture in the main text and cheque borders.

2. When you turn the cheque over and hold it up to the light, a watermark of the goddess's face should be visible through the white circle on the back of the cheque.

3. The cheque will show either the Thomas Cook portrait or the value of the cheque.

4. Normally, for the buyers, they'll stamp their name or company name on the cheque but some might not do it so.

5. On the left hand side of the cheque, inside the circle, the design here may vary. It will contain the MasterCard goddess, the euro travellers cheque symbol, or another symbol.

6. On one of the border sides of the cheque, it may show the name of the issuing institution or selling location. Names will vary.
